Health Insurance for Professional Injuries

There is a one unlikely common thing that unites the professional sportsmen, musicians and web-designers. This thing is the long list of professional injuries topped by various strains, sprains and the almost inevitable RSI (Repetitive Stress Injury).

Another common thing between the people of these professions and the likely professional traumas that manifest themselves not by the rate of “if”, but by the rate of “when” is that most of the health insurance plans will fail to cover such injuries in the necessary proportions. The doctors are often less than enthusiastic when it comes to the professional injury treatments. The medication process is very long and slow. A recovery from a serious professional injury may take up to several years.

As it often happens with nasty lasting medical conditions the prevention is the best cure. Though it had already been mentioned that the professional injuries will raise their ugly little head one way or another sooner or later, but for instance the ankle taping for sports or usage of tennis bracelets for musicians and computer graphic artists may reduce the injury risk by 70%. In need of a stair lift?

If you are suffering from health problems such as leg injuries and breathing problems, a stair lift may be a good idea. The purpose of a stair lift is to make it easier for you to go up and down the stairs in your home. Instead of using your legs, you sit and after pressing a button, you are moved up and down.

There are many different models of stair lifts. Some charge as they wait on top or at the bottom of the stairs, some are battery-operated and others work with electricity. The seats of the stair lifts use sensors that allow the stair lifts to know when the person sits on the chair.

Apart from health problems, people who have been in accidents and are temporary not able to walk can also use stair lifts to help them to get up and down the stairs. Stair lifts are also highly used by those aging or those who can stand on their own but are not able to get up the stairs by themselves. (more...)

Comprehensive medical insurance for EEA2

Citizens of the United Kingdom are entitled to free health care from the National Health Services or the NHS. If you are not a UK citizen but you are planning on moving to the UK to settle and work, you will not be entitled to free health care by the NHS and will need to obtain some type of comprehensive sickness insurance in order to cover for their medical care while living in the UK.

This insurance covers any medical issues that you may have while you are living and working in the United Kingdom which means that any medical care that is received by you during your stay in the UK will not be paid for by the NHS (National Health Services). Instead, it is paid for by the insurance company itself.

Having comprehensive sickness insurance is important because it is necessary if you want to apply for a residence card. In most cases, someone submitting an EEA2 application will need to supply certain documentation including document from their EEA2 national sponsor . For example, if a husband has already completed the EEA2 process and have received the Registration Certificate, he may become the EEA2 national sponsor of this wife and when his wife submits her EEA2 application form, she may need to submit copies of his documentation such as his Registration Certification, ID card and passport.
